The first steps after a long, almost 12-hour flight, I headed to the most famous beach in the world – Copacabana!
A long, wide and sandy beach with free admission that is well-prepared for people who like to actively relax and spend time. There are many volleyball and beach soccer fields. Along the entire beach, next to the promenade, there are plenty of little bars and restaurants serving local delicacies, drinks and cocktails.
Price examples: mineral water 0.5l – 6 reais (50% more expensive than in stores), carphirinha – 18 reais, burger with fries – 30 reais.
In Rio, apart from Copacabana, there are other beaches – Ipanema, in the immediate vicinity, and Leblon, adjacent to a rich neighbourhood. If you find a moment, it is also worth going there.
