On the second day of the trip, right after breakfast, I went to the city. Today plan was fewer attractions. The first point is the Parliament and the famous changing of the guard on the square in front of the palace, which can be seen every hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next point on the sightseeing map is Hadrian’s Arch, which separates the old part of Athens from the new one. Right next to the Hadrian’s Arch, there are the remains of the temple of Olympian Zeus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After another history lesson, it was time for a change of environment. I decided to visit the National Garden. It is a beautiful, well-maintained 15-hectare area with a lot of fauna and flora found in Greece. You can meet turtles, parrots, colourful butterflies\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The last point of the day’s sightseeing was visiting a traditional Greek restaurant. I have to admit that Greek food is delicious – tzatziki sauce, pita bread, suvlaki, phyllo dough, delicious seafood or traditional Greek salad. Everyone will find something for himself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
